Welcome – Resource and Blog for Nurse Practitioners!

Hello and welcome to my blog for Nurse Practitioners. Thanks so much for being here! I’m Beth, a recently graduated Family Nurse Practitioner. In March 2020, I graduated from the University of Washington with my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). I have since accepted my first NP job and became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Before and throughout graduate school, I searched for resources that would help me understand:

  • Study tips for my different classes
  • How to succeed in clinical rotations
  • When and how to study and pass my board exam
  • Navigating licensing, credentialing and the job search process
  • How to be successful in my first job as a new graduate NP

I never could find a comprehensive resource that covered all of these topics when I was in school. I decided to create the resource I wished for and share it with the goal of helping others.

If you’re interested in becoming a Nurse Practitioner, are currently in school completing your MSN or DNP, or if you’re a recent graduate like me, I hope you’ll stick around to chat about all things Nurse Practitioner on the blog.

Where should you start?

  1. Hi Beth, my name is Sam and I’ve also recently graduated with DNP and become a family nurse practitioner. This seems like a fabulous resource and I really look forward to following your blog! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, insight and experiences with all future and current NPs!
